About Our Members and Activities
Our membership comes from all over the Menomonie/Eau Claire area with a radius of close to 50 miles. Our "home base" is Menomonie and many of our events and meetings are held at the Dunn County Fairgrounds. Anyone with an interest in horses is welcome; you don't need to own a horse to join nor do you need to ride in any of our events in order to participate and be an important member of the Club.
Members come from all walks of life, all levels of equine experience from beginners to trainers, and from all age categories. Very small children enjoy the shows and various Club events throughout the year, and we have our share of "seasoned" members as well. There is certainly something for everyone at MSC and to join, simply contact one of our members or our President and come to a meeting to be voted in and start to enjoy.
At least 12 - 24 members participate in the Precision Equestrian Drill Team and we are always looking for riders and subs, as well as anyone interested in helping as a ground crew member.
A large majority of our members compete in horse shows throughout the year, including our own shows. Even for those not riding, this is a fun social event and we always need help.
Throughout the year we have many other fun events for members including organized trail rides, sliding parties, the Halloween and Christmas parties, Fun Shows, roller-skating in the winter, and potlucks. We're completely open to any new activities that any member wants to organize; simply bring up your idea at a meeting and you're certain to find other like-minded members to help.
